Lauren Elkin is a writer and translator. She is the author of No. 91/92: A diary of a year on the bus and Flâneuse: Women Walk the City, and the translator of the U.K. edition of Simone de Beauvoir’s The Inseparables, as well as a forthcoming biography of Louise Bourgeois.
